When I “check the news” that means a visit to The Drudge Report. Drudge manages to hit most of the big legitimate news items of the day and that’s what I am looking for — the quick and dirty news roundup. But sometimes he is just an ignorant fool and it makes me laugh and want to punch him at the same time. The headline right now is all caps reads, “HARRIET MIERS SUPPORTED FULL CIVIL RIGHTS FOR GAYS AND LESBIANS; BACKED AIDS EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR CITY OF DALLAS”. As if to say, “How dare any decent Repbublican — let alone Supreme Court nominee — commit such a horendous infraction.” Who are the people that would react this way? I just don’t understand.
